Below are a few specific circumstances in which borrowers can benefit from the new limited PSLF waiver:
You consolidated FFEL loans to qualify for PSLF, but didn't get the payments you made on the old loan counted towards your forgiveness count.
You served in the military, Peace Corps, or AmeriCorps and your loan servicer automatically put you into forbearance, preventing you from getting that time counted towards forgiveness.
You were incorrectly advised to enter a repayment plan that was not eligible for PSLF while working for an eligible employer.
